Careers and Employment with Mountain Park Lodges
Jasper is a small town located in Jasper National Park in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The friendly local population sits around 5000, but it can swell up to 20,000 in the peak months with tourists and seasonal staff. Jasper has something here for everyone in every season - biking, hiking, canoeing, camping, skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, or just taking in the scenery. Whatever you choose, you will find yourself surrounded by pristine beauty.
Jasper has many of the basic services including grocery and hardware stores, banks and library, but you won't find the same amenities as a big city would offer, including large shopping centers and big box retailers. This is what has preserved the very unique 'small town' vibe to our rocky mountain community. You can walk from one end of town to another in less than an hour, and you are guaranteed to see a familiar face along the way. You will likely feel like a local 'Jasperite' after a few short weeks of living here!
Mountain Park Lodges
Mountain Park Lodges offers six full-service hotels and restaurants, four of which are centrally located in the town of Jasper, giving you easy access to all the services, yet within walking distance of unspoiled wilderness.
If your dream Jasper experience involves living in a quiet, remote area, then Pocahontas Cabins might be the ideal spot for your adventure. Pocahontas Cabins are situated as the base of the Miette Hot Springs Road, thirty minutes from the Jasper town site. The cabins are open year-round, but busiest in the summer months of May-October. Winter operations are much quieter, with more opportunity to experience the stunning beauty of Jasper National Park. Most staff live on-site in staff accommodations and they are known to develop close relationships, often referred to as the 'POCO Family'.
Pyramid Lake Resort
Pyramid Lake Resort is the only resort in Jasper with exclusive access to the tranquil Pyramid Lake, a picturesque setting on a terraced hillside surrounded by the Canadian Rockies. This stunning location offers seasonal activities which include boat, bike, snowshoe and skate rentals, as well as various trails for biking, hiking, and cross-country skiing. These are only some of the reasons why this resort is a very desirable place to work. The resort is located 5km outside of the Jasper town site and staff accommodations are available on-site, providing a remote working environment just minutes from the hustle and bustle of the town.
The Crimson Jasper, Lobstick Lodge, Chateau Jasper and Marmot Lodge
If you prefer to live and work in the Jasper town site, then the Lobstick Lodge, Marmot Lodge, Chateau Jasper or the Crimson Jasper is the property for you. All of the hotels are only a 5-10 minute walk from downtown, putting you right in the middle of the action. Staff accommodation is available on site or a very short distance from all hotel properties.
