Why Us Sage Hospitality is set to hire an accomplished Senior Sales Manager who will be an integral leader of this new Marriott Autograph Collection hotel opening in Menlo Park, Hotel Nia. Hotel Nia plans to deliver masterfully curated experiences to inspire and create an avenue for brilliance within guests’ personal and professional lives. Featuring 250 guest rooms with a fresh take on the modern hotel, Nia will provide thoughtful tech and high touch experiences to guests and visitors. The restaurant and bar will feature a unique and communal experience with shared coastal Mediterranean plates and inspired cocktails. Comfortable California style surrounds the pool bar and luscious courtyard and the spacious fitness center allows guests to stretch out and sweat. And as the center of Menlo Park, the 11,000 square foot flexible meeting space also opens up to 9,000 square feet of outdoor event space with sunny views.

This role will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing within the Premier and Lifestyle Division as well as partnering with a collaborative ownership that takes pride in excellence and is a great steward of its properties. Posting Overview

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for selling the hotel, developing sales contacts and performing sales activities in assigned markets. Exempt Sales Managers must spend more than 50% of their time outside directly selling. Must be able to engage customers, analyzes their needs, and creates tailored proposals. Negotiates and closes sales while achieving sales targets. Effectively communicates internally and externally through various methods and across all departments.

Abilities

Bending/kneeling - repeated bending and kneeling required while filing, Mobility - must be able to reach all areas of hotel to assist clients. Occasional standing. Occasional carrying and lifting of files and office items up to 25 lbs.

Education/Formal Training

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Six months minimum in sales, customer service related position or hotel experience preferred.

Material/Equipment Used

General office equipment: computer, typewriter, copier, facsimile, telephone, calculator, etc. .
