JOB OVERVIEW Assist the Sales and Marketing Department in obtaining guest satisfaction by performing clerical and administrative duties relating to sales, with specific emphasis on managing and maintaining the property website coordinating social media and e-marketing efforts maintaining multiple event calendars and developing internal marketing communications.

REPORTS TODirector of Sales and Marketing

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1.Act as Liaison between Sales Manager(s) and clients in the Sales Managers absence. Take booking inquiry information via phone and prepare proper paperwork.

2.Use various computer word processing and other software packages to enter data, produce contracts, correspondence, forms, memoranda, presentations, sales and marketing reports, and other documents.

3.Answer telephone and respond to caller inquiries by speaking in a clear and pleasant manner. Exercise decision-making skills to direct callers requests and accurately record messages for staff and distribute the written messages to the sales team in a timely manner.

4.Manage the propertys web site by working with property departments to ensure web sections are accurate, current and effective.

5.Ensure Internet Specials and other promotions are optimized for maximum sales.

6.Serve as the Social Media Champion for the property by coordinating social media campaigns and managing all social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Foursquare, and Google+.

7.Create and implement local e-mail campaigns and coordinate e-mail capture program in all markets.






8.Distribute documents to appropriate persons and locations to ensure prompt processing of time sensitive information by hotel and supplier staff. Transport documents weighing up to 10 pounds to offices, mailrooms and other locations throughout the hotel building. Retrieve documents from and place documents into proper receptacles located up to 6 feet high, such as mailboxes, file cabinets, etc.

9.Handle individual reservations for VIP clients. Ensure that all arrangements, including upgrades, are handled properly, coordinating with other departments through oral and written instruction.

10.Organize, file and retrieve documents in appropriate binders in order to maintain essential records used in the department operation.


11.Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to pitch-in and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of hotel structure and how all departments interact. Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner in order to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints. Proficiency in electronic social media.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A.A.S. degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality and Tourism or Business Administration. Previous experience working with Onq system is preferred.
