JOB SUMMARY

The IT Corporate Systems Manager core responsibility is to ensure system availability to all users. Install, configure, support and monitor the organizations network, applications, system performance, perform needed upgrades and maintenance on corporate servers and user workstations. Plan for disaster recovery and other backup contingencies, diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and other network problems. Work with the Vice President of Information Technology of the Crescent portfolio as it relates to systems and applications.


RESPONSIBILITIES

As Corporate Systems Manager you will also assist with coordinating between network and data communications systems, network security operations as well as working with other department heads on assisting with hotel transitions.
Additional job duties include
Configuring and maintaining email applications
Installing and networking software
Designing, configuring and testing computer hardware
Provide support services for systems maintenance
Participate in purchasing decisions for computer hardware and software

JOB DUTIES PURPOSE
Provide general and routine technical support to a broad range of installation, patching, configuration, and updates to Operating Systems and non-OS vendor application requiring the ability to research, analyze, and resolve problems effectively to meet established performance metrics. Maintain documented (e.g. Disaster Recovery) procedures for Windows Infrastructure. Collaborates and contributes with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement and continuously improve systems. Requires on-call availability, Travel and working during non-business hours and weekends.

PRODUCTION SUPPORT
Actively coordinates with team members and other groups to effectively perform general and routine requests such as backup, restores, permissions changes, patch application, and testing. Provide Windows Server and administration support for daily operations. Follows procedures and guidelines to install, patch, configure, customize, troubleshoot, upgrade, integrate, and maintain systems, software, network and port configuration, host-based firewalls, and peripherals. Supports and collaborates with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff on project efforts to achieve implementation plans and timelines. Review and monitor systems for availability, error conditions, adequate space allocation, backup integrity, and performance to ensure system stability. Provide reports and capacity data to support metrics for hardware warranty, software licensing and asset management systems.


Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
Maintain system efficiency.
Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together.
Troubleshoot problems reported by users.
Make recommendations for future upgrades.
Maintain network and system security.
Analyze and isolate issues.
Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
Evaluate and modify systems performance.
Identify user needs.
Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
Ensure network connectivity throughout a companys LANWAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
Design and deploy networks.
Perform network address assignment.
Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPNgateways, intrusion detection systems.
Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
NON-ESSENTIAL responsibilities

Participates in job related training classes, conventions, and seminars as directed.
In addition to performance of essential functions, position may be called upon for aid concerning project completion, or assisting the Technology teams in what may be deemed as an Emergency situation.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by management

LEADERSHIP QUALITIES
Strong technical skills including PC and Networks
A solid understanding of the hospitality business and the application of Information Technology to that business.
Proven project management and budgeting skills.
A minimum of three years in a management or supervisory position responsible for the ongoing operation of Information Technologysystems.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Proficiency in mainstream PC desktop applications, and the effective use of Internet technology and services.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Theoretical understanding of PMS concepts
Practical understanding of Front Office procedures
Familiarity with Delphi, POS and other Hotel applications


QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education Experience

Bachelors Degree in technology related discipline or equivalent experience required.
A minimum of 3 years of related progressive experience in IT Management or related field.
Experience working with technical staff.

Physical Requirements

Long hours sometimes required.
Ability to travel
Ability to climb stairs, ladders etc.

Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
Must have the ability to assemble complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
Must be able to prioritize departmental functions in order to meet due dates and deadlines.
