JOB OVERVIEW

Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and brand standards, while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
. Prepare food of greatest quality, following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per guest check from servers.
. Determine and maintain estimated food needs for each shift, so as to prevent loss due to over preparation.
. Date at food and containers and use approved rotation procedures.
. Prepare and maintain food at food safe levels at all times.
. Determine line set-up pars each shift, noting any out of stock items or shortages.
. At close of shift, return all items to proper storage.
. Assist in all areas of food waste and cost controls as required.
. Operate, maintain, and properly clean all kitchen equipment, immediately reporting any maintenance issues for proper repair.
. Assist with month end and year end inventories
MINIMIM QUALIFICATIONS

. Prior experience working in a hotel kitchen or kitchen of equal size and production standards.
. At least 2 years of previous experience as a line andor prep cook in a high production position.
. Position requires the ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
. Position requires extended periods of walking and standing.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a plus.
. Collaborative team member a plus.
. Computer skills helpful in position
