Job Description


The Executive Housekeeper manages the largest department in the hotel. The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the activities of departments, which control the flow of available guestrooms for sale in the hotel. The cleanliness of the entire hotel and much of a guest's overall impression of the hotel is related to Housekeeping and therefore the responsibility of the Executive Housekeeper.

Job Responsibilities:
-Minimum of 3-year hotel housekeeping management or relative experience.
-Willingness to work a highly flexible and frequently changing work schedule based on business volume, including weekends, evenings, and early mornings.
-Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize.
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Detail Oriented, self-motivated and ability to multi task
-Ability to grow the culture of performance, trust, credibility and collaboration with clients and all hotel departments.
-Ability to communicate sincerely and effectively with all hotel departments and guests.
-Strong product knowledge and a thorough understanding of hotel operations.
-Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
-Plans and organizes the cleaning of all guests' rooms and public areas.
-Provide supportive leadership and teaching that everything communicates.
-Ensure that all associates have received Sheraton Brand Training.
-Inspect cleanliness of all hotel rooms and public areas.
-Provide current and prospective associates with information about Hotel policies and job duties.
-Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, resolving disputes, and assistance in administering disciplinary procedures.
-Ensure Sheraton and Stanford Hotel service standards are maintained.
-Maintain records and complete statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hire, transfers, performance reviews and absenteeism rates.
-Develop training programs and identify training needs.
-Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work projects and tasks.
-Developing a stable, competent work force and encourage personal growth of all personnel through periodic evaluation and review.
-Order and purchase linens, towels, and housekeeping supplies.
-Is current on latest housekeeping and laundry technology.
-Work closely with vendors to assure proper pricing, delivery, and maintenance.
-Solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars.
-Member of the Executive Committee.
-Perform other related duties as required.


Job Requirements:

Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.

Technical Requirements:
- Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.

- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
- Able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to converse in basic English.
- Must be able to use basic email, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word programs.
- Requires strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must meet grooming standards.

Educational Requirements:
