Job Summary:

The Event Services Manager is the central contact for group related meetings and events. The Event Services Manager brings company resources and creativity together with customer visions and budgets to plan and execute the goals and objectives of the program. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prep and plan meetings and events with the client to include meeting set-ups, creative menu planning and flawless execution of event.
  • Disseminating all information from group to appropriate operational departments.
  • Cross sell and up-sell opportunities to optimize total hotel revenue potential and guest experience.
  • Create and oversee BEO's and resumes.
  • Execute details of planning site inspections to ensure property's offerings are showcased.
  • Attend and oversee the execution of the event to ensure client satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

  • Two years of social meetings and events planning and/or Banquet experience at an upscale venue.
  • Proven record planning, organizing and executing large group events successfully.
  • Flexible availability to include weekends, holidays, daytime or evening schedule.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Food knowledge to assist in preparing creative menu offerings from banquet menu guide utilizing skills to up-sell menu selections and beverage options
  • Pairing of food and wine skills
  • Deadline sensitive
  • Computer literate
  • CCE, CMP, CMM, Culinary Degrees a plus

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear, use hands and/or reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, at least 20" or less; distant vision at 20' or more and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and own or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), and the ability to adjust focus.
