The Business Transient Sales Manager

Responsible for increasing room revenue by prospecting local sales market for transient business as well as building new accounts. Ability to close on business and partner with other sales managers. This is a very vibrant hotel with meeting space well suited for the business transient market and the ability to position the property as the leader in the market against the comp set will be key.

1.Consistently performs the Hotels Company Standards of Service interact with guests, all hotel associates in a professional, gracious and friendly manner and ensures staff does the same.
2. Solicits past and new business to ensure all revenue goals in rooms and food and beverage are achieved and exceeded through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspection and written communication.
3. Manages accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and productivity.
4. Develops and maintains knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
5. Consistently makes cold calls.
6. Prepares correspondence to guests, internal bookings reports and file maintenance.
7. Participates in the daily line-up, pre-convention meetings, and other sales related meetings as required.
8. Attends trade shows, community events and industry meetings also participates in sales blitzes to develop business.
9. Assists with the day-to-day functions of Sales Catering Office.
10. Works effectively with Rooms, Catering, Conference Services and Banquet
Departments to provide quality service to guests.
11. Maintains and uses trace system
Achieves and exceeds monthly and annual rooms revenue quota.
12. Fulfills Manager on Duty Shift.

14. Regular attendance in conformance with standards established by hotel is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
15. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules in response to the business needs of the hotel.
16. Adheres to safety, security and emergency procedures, reacts appropriately during emergency situations and acts promptly to correct hazards.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.
