Nestled just below Eagle's Nest and just above the Game Creek chair lift, Game Creek Restaurant is a truly unique location, with a private, members-only lunch balanced with a gourmet dinner program.  Dining at Game Creek is an exceptional experience where guests overlook the beautiful Game Creek Bowl and either ski in for lunch or ride a snowcat for dinner. Game Creek Restaurant offers delectable, five-star, locally-sourced American cuisine, complimented by an award-winning wine list and superior service. This breathtaking European chalet-style restaurant is Vail Mountain’s signature fine dining location.

 

The buffet attendant  works as an intermediary between Club members and kitchen staff.  This position requires someone with a sense for guest service, and preferrably with an interest or prior experience in working in a professional kitchen.  The buffet attendant is responsible for daily setup and preparation of the exclusive members-only lunch buffet, and will ensure the presentation of the buffet is excellent and that all items are well stocked, and may assist with food preparation for the buffet.  

 

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•    Coordinate with the kitchen to order restock supplies for the buffet.   
•    Must be knowledgable of the food items on the buffet and be able to describe these accurately to members.  
•    Always have a friendly and courteous interaction with members and their guests at all times.  
•    The buffet attendant should be knowledgable of basic food preparations, be able to assist with easy food preparation, and understand the restaurant organization.
•    Ensure all coolers, freezers and walk-ins are maintained at the company’s and health inspector’s food safety standards and HAACP standards including the daily logging of refrigerator and freezer temperatures
•    Follow kitchen safety regulations. In particular, 100% compliance of the cut glove policy
•    Help other departments when need arises
•    Punctuality is a must.
•    Attend all trainings and classes as assigned or advised by Supervisor
•    Other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Senior Management
 
Qualifications: 
•    Must possess the following key essential qualities - adaptability, flexibility, positive attitude, even temperament and a keen eye for detail – required.
•    Must be highly organized and always have a sense of urgency – required.
•    High school diploma or equivalent - required.
•    Must be able to lift 40+ lbs. - required.
•    Must be fluent in English - required.
•    Ability to work standing for 8+ hours - required.
•    Must be 18 years of age or older - required.
•    Must be available to work weekends and holidays including: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, December 26th through January 2nd, Presidents’ Day Weekend, and any other holidays as requested. 

•    ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification (or be able to attain) - required
