The Beverage Attendant's main responsibilities are to provide excellent guest service, as well as stocking, cleaning and replenishing all beverages in the Spruce Saddle Scramble Area.  In addition to complying with inventory control, maintaining a fully stocked beverage and snack program, providing high quality Customer Service and keeping all beverage areas clean and free of debris.  This position will also act as a bar back for the Bartender.  Duties may also include operating the cash register and cleaning and stocking the bar when needed.  All employees are charged with the responsibility to follow all rules and policies of the facility they are employed and Vail Resorts Inc. This position is located on the mountain at Spruce Saddle Lodge. Other duties as assigned.


  • Must be 18 years of age or older - required
  • High school diploma or equivalent - required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, comprehend and understand English - required
  • Must be committed to providing excellent guest service
  • Must have at least 2 years of previous work experience - required
  • Positive work ethic
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to 8hrs in a shift - required
  • Must be able to lift, bend, and carry items with a combined weight of 50 lbs - required
  • Must be able to move snow, ski racks and picnic tables with a weight up to 50 lbs - required
  • Must be able to learn to operate and operate independently the following bar equipment:  (soda machine, dishwasher, etc.), cappuccino machine, data capture, cash register, rolling carts, coffee machines and hot chocolate machines, elevators
  • Must be able to work both inside and outside throughout the day, may require extended periods of time outside to assist with snow removal - required
  • Flexible to assist in all areas of restaurant
  • Must be able to learn and practice all rules and regulations of Safety and Sanitation - required
  • Must be able to work early mornings, weekends, holidays and/or evenings - required
  • Candidate will need to pass the TIPS Certified Program - training provided - required
  • Certified non-slip shoes required to begin work
  • End of Season Commitment - required
  • Previous barback experience - preferred
