An Assistant Training Manager is concerned with the assessment of all the hotel's training needs, formulation and execution of the overall training.

What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Training Manager, you serve as an integral component of the Human Resources function by supporting learning and development initiatives through Hilton Worldwide's comprehensive training framework. Specifically, an Assistant Training Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

* To recommend and develop training policies and procedures to be adopted by the hotel under the approval of Human Resources Manager or Director of Human Resources.

* To assist the Director of Human Resources to produce the annual training budget and plan for submission to Management for approval.
* To assist the Director of Human Resources to conduct an annual "Training Needs Analysis" with Department Heads and develop an annual training plan under the approval of Human Resources Manager or Director of Human Resources.
* To plan and deliver appropriate training courses to meet the hotel's operational needs & Brand Training requirement.
* To organize proper induction and induction follow-up programs for all new team members, in order to minimize turnover during the probation period and ensure the most effective on boarding experience.
* To conduct guest relations program to ensure that the Conrad Brand standards & Leaders In Luxury program are adhered to.
* To Follow up & ensure that all Dedicated to Excellence-Empowerment guidelines which are created by each operational departments are well communicated & up to date with current guests feedback (at least quarterly update)
* To conduct Train the Departmental Trainers Course to ensure the hotel has an effective network of departmental trainers.
* To be certified & conduct MDP1: Leadership 1 training workshop at least two times annually.
* To coordinate with other Training Managers and or property MDP2: MAP certified trainers in order to have at least two sessions train annually
* To provide departmental trainers and monitors with refresher training at least twice a year.
* To ensure all management development programs attendees are nominated properly under the approval of attendees' direct manager / Director of Human Resources approval and to monitor its effectiveness.
* To assist & monitor Department Heads to identify skills training needs for each department and train-on-the-job trainers for each department.
* To hold meetings with Departmental Trainers and mentor each Departmental Trainer every other month on the following topics:

§ Training conducted and training to be conducted

§ Training records

§ Audit requirements (Brand, Security HR audits etc)

* To assist in the publication of Team Member Newsletter on a quarterly basis.
* To perform any other duties in relation to the job nature as assigned by the Director of Human Resources and/or Human Resources Manager.

  • Exceptional presentation and grooming
  • Tertiary qualifications, or other collegiate-level degree, in Training or Human Resources, preferred
