Position Overview:
The Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is responsible for ensuring 100% guest satisfaction in providing various treatments to Spa guests including but not limited to Swedish massage, warm stone, and aromatherapy massage.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Adheres to policies of the Spa and Hotel
* Understands the universal precautions when providing services and applies them consistently. Asses' contraindications of guest that may prevent services from taking place.
* Maintains the highest levels of product knowledge and has complete knowledge of all spa services offered.
* Recommends products for home use to Spa guests to obtain a minimum service to sales ratio of 15%
* Performs all treatments on services' menu based on current certifications.
* Suggests to guests other beneficial treatments offered in the spa.
* Understands the ingredients in products and can explain their benefits to guests. Answer guest's questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
* Begin and end treatments on time.
* Creates and maintains clients' card with treatment notes, when appropriate.
* Completes all assigned additional work, tasks, projects, etc.
* Cleans and disinfects all equipment on a daily basis. Uses cleaned and disinfected products/materials for each guest.
* Assists staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to help maintain facility and prepare for special events.
* Manage our guests' expectations and ensure that they are met.
* Ensure level of service is of the highest quality.
* Able to manage recovery of service quickly and efficiently.
* Ensure and maintain an organized and clean environment.
* To provide professional, confidential service & treatments to our spa clients
* To sell Spa Products including merchandise and treatments
* To assist in stocking of supplies and linens
* To control and monitor the use of all professional products
* To control and monitor the use of all instruments and equipment within the Spa
* Responsible for scheduled opening/closing shift of the Spa
* To notify Spa Director of any client complaint or concern in a prompt and timely manner
* To attend all Spa staff meetings and training sessions
* To provide a strong team spirit and positive morale. Greet guest in a friendly and courteous manner during all interactions.
* Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
* Abide by the policies and procedures as set out in the Associate Handbook and any other applicable policies.
* Attend all scheduled shifts including shift work and weekend work in accordance with the schedules.
* Must adhere to the appearance and grooming policy.
* Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:

* Customer service experience, preferably in a spa environment
* Ability to explain various treatments/services to our guest clearly and knowledgably.
* Excellent customer service skills and work ethics.
* Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
* Fluency in English both written and verbal. Proficiency in other languages would be an asset.
* Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, including overtime as required.
* Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures within work area and respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management.
* Strong team player
* Must be comfortable with product recommendation
* Previous RMT experience preferred.
* Ability to stand for long periods to continuously perform essential job functions
* Must maintain RMT designation
* Must maintain own liability insurance and other required insurance and be able to produce documentation at any given time.
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
* Must be able to stoop and bend, as well as maneuver up and down stairs.



Education & Experience

* High School Diploma
* RMT Designation
* Minimum 2-5 years experience in the spa hospitality industry
