We seek talented, motivated individuals who demonstrate a passion for service excellence and who want to work in an environment that provides growth and development opportunities. We are committed to those who are committed to us and believe strongly in allowing individuals the opportunity to discover and develop their skills to the fullest extent possible.

Commensurate with our expectations we seek to provide the most competitive wages and compensation packages in the Tofino / Ucluelet area as well as year round employment.
We are fortunate to be a year round resort and although we are somewhat quieter in the winter, we do provide year around employment. We prefer long-term employees as we appreciate and recognize that the quality of service they are able to provide increases proportionately with their experience in their positions. If you are able to commit a year with us, we very much encourage you to apply.
How does the employment process work?
We take our candidacy selection seriously and are most particular with our Human Resources choices. Should you apply you can expect a preliminary phone conversation in which we would discuss some general information. At the time, if we wish to pursue you as a candidate we would request a person-to-person interview. The initial interview would be with a manager or Assistant Manager of the Department for which you have applied. A second interview with another member of the Management Team will also be required, in most cases the Director of Operations.
New employees attend an Orientation Session in their first days of employment. Orientation includes a review of our Employee Handbook and Service Standards, a tour of our property and guestrooms and an opportunity to finalize all employee start-up paperwork, culminating with a familiarization lunch in the Pointe Restaurant.
All positions at the Wickaninnish Inn are subject to a 3-month introductory period. Within the 90-day introductory period employees will also attend several skill sessions and seminars, such as "Service Excellence", "Open Communication" and First Aid and Emergency training. This provides employees ample time to be trained in their new position and as well, the opportunity to settle into community life in Tofino. This period also provides the Wickaninnish Inn appropriate time to evaluate the employee's performance, and gauge an employee's suitability, potential and level of commitment.
Accommodation in the Tofino / Ucluelet area
Housing in the Tofino / Ucluelet area can be a challenge. As Tofino is a busy resort destination often there are housing availabilities that are only available October through May. Year round, or summer only housing can be more difficult to find. We do have a limited number of staff accommodation units. Our Staff Accommodation units offer a dormitory living style with shared bedrooms and communal living spaces. Staff Accommodation is on a first come first serve basis, and is meant to be a temporary living situation for new employees that do not have any options available to them.
Staff Accommodation is only available for a maximum of 6 months, thus allowing employees to become familiar with the Tofino area and obtain living accommodations on their own.
