About the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis

Kananaskis Village is set amongst some of the most awesome scenery in the world. Surrounded by the Canadian Rocky Mountains, the village is just one hour South West of Calgary and 45 minutes East of Banff. Nestled in the heart of Kananaskis Village the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis provides guests with the ultimate mountain experience.

The Lodge was originally built for the 1988 Winter Olympics, and now is host to visitors from all around the world. Two buildings, The Lodge and the John Palliser Manor provide 321 luxurious rooms, 6 extensive dining outlets, including L'Escapade (awarded 4 diamond status), complete meeting space, conventions and recreation and spa facilities.

About the Area

The Delta Lodge at Kananaskis lies in an unspoiled mountain environment, which we call the Valley of Adventure, encompassing 4000 square kilometers of possibilities! The Valley is home to Fortress Mountain, which was awarded Canada's "best kept secret" for powder skiing by Ski Canada Magazine. Nakiska Mountain was the site of the 1988 Olympic Alpine events. Kananaskis Country Golf Course is a 36-hole world class golf course. The Kananaskis River offers whitewater rafting, canoeing and kayaking. The park offers 250 km of official hiking, mountain biking and cross-country ski trails. The Valley is also home to unsurpassed backcountry adventures - your opportunities are endless! Workplace

A comprehensive training and orientation program is provided for all new employees in order to introduce you to our Company, Resort, the area and to provide information on working and living in the Valley of Adventure. Part of our orientation includes a nights stay and dinner - so our employees get to experience what it feels like to be a guest at the Lodge!

We offer a competitive benefits plan including Alberta Health Care, extended medical, vision, dental, life insurance and short-term disability. We also offer an employee travel program which enables our employees to stay at any other Delta or Fairmont Hotel at a substantially reduced rates and 50% off your food and beverage during your stay.

Accommodation

Our staff residence is shared accommodation. It's a 5-minute walk to the Lodge and one step from the Ultimate Outdoor Playground! Each room has a kitchenette, full-size bathroom, and furnishings. We also offer a common room with Internet access, pool table and TV. Our staff store is located in residence, offering a wide variety of items at a competitive price. Both residence buildings have coin operated laundry facilities.

Our Staff Activities Coordinator plans a variety of different activities throughout the year including sky diving, overnight hikes, ice climbing, trips to sporting events and other social gatherings. A staff shuttle provides transportation to these events and makes weekly trips into Calgary, Canmore and Banff.
